Interestingly, our New England town is going through a debate over whether public funds should be allocated to the private schools, including a Catholic school for increased school security. As some would have it, public funds, which are incurred by substantial property tax revenues should only be used to provide police presence outside the public schools, but not the private, and especially not the religious schools.
