UN speaks out about drone strikes
As a past critic of the Bush administration's approach to "enhanced interrogation techniques," I was hopeful that we would see a more robust commitment to human rights in the Obama administration's battle against terrorism. Well, one way to escape messy debates about what constitutes torture is to avoid the need for interrogations. Just kill suspected terrorists wherever you find them. Now the UN is raising the serious human rights implications of unchecked drone strikes.

We've heard for several years now that "social justice" issues such as international militancy weighs in favor of Democrats in general and Obama in particular when facing Republican opponents, even though evils that are not only intrinsic but massive in scale clearly weigh against Obama regarding those opponents, such as abortion. Now we get confirmation, yet again, of several more "not abortion" social justice items that cannot possibly be said to weigh in Obama's favor. So what remains to add up for Obama and outweigh his support for intrinsic evils? Is this the New Math?
