Well said, Fr. Ted

Fr. Ted Hesburgh, who just turned 95 (!!), put well and pithily what's going on in the HHS lawsuits:  "I would only say that I think the university is doing what it should do. The government just overreached and overstretched and has to be brought up short," he says.

Bingo. I am bothered by those judging Notre Dame without looking at what their brief says and what their reasoning is. They are responding in good faith to the situation as it is. That does not mean they agree with how bishops are handling every aspect of the controversy. Fr. Hesburgh is right.
