The Obvious

Here's a story about the Smithsonian's decision to pull a video that shows ants crawling all over a crucifix.  The video was part of an exhibit on "sexual identity in portraiture."

Not quite sure what the problem was.  Doesn't everybody think of ants crawling all over a crucifix when they think about sexual identity?

The obvious for me is why Jesus? Why not a picture of Muhammad with ants crawling over him in an exhibit about AID's. I am sure the Muslims would understand the alleged deep message of such an image. No doubt they would act with their usual restraint. Also another issue is money. Is it legal and ethical to use tax money to trash one religion as opposed to the others? One reason it was yanked was that some in Congress promised to review the museums budget since they apparently had so much money that they could spend it on things like this.
