A Call for Reckoning: Religion and the Death Penalty

A new book is out, published by Eerdman's, called "Religion and the Death Penalty: A Call for Reckoning." The book grew out of a conference held at the University of Chicago a few years ago, and includes contributions by Mario Cuomo, E.J. Dionne, Jean Bethke Elshtain, Avery Cardinal Dulles, Gilbert Mailaender, Stanley Hauerwas, Khaled Abou El Fadl, George Ryan, and many more. A paper of mine is also included.
